Llechryd Tennis Club held a tournament at the end of July.
Showcasing fierce competition and sportsmanship, the annual event saw 18 players battle it out on July 27.
Uncertain weather gave way to sunshine, pleasing club members and spectators alike.
Club secretaries Elinor McBurney and Jean Smith masterminded the entire event.
Both members and visitors contributed generously to the picnic.
Each match was played over five games, with partners swapping post-match.
A thrilling final match saw Elinor and newly-joined Mike Witham prevail against competitors Rachel Heneker and Paul Bowen.
The match was skilfully umpired by club stalwart Brian Lee, with assistance from Melanie Frost.
The club thanked the joint effort made by organisers, players, guests, and volunteer umpires.
