The latest Wales & Borders Harness Racing event took place in Talsarn on a bright summery day.
Located in the heart of the countryside, the track, bathed in glorious sunshine, brimmed with spectators, setting up the scene for a lively series of races lined up for the afternoon.
The day's activities kick-started with the Novice race.
The focus of everyone's attention was Fold Allstar, led by its owner, Lorna Bird from Evenjobb.
The horse set the pace for the contest, earning victory and standing tall against half brother Fold Megastar and Sally M who came in second and third respectively.
Subsequently, spectators were treated to the Grade B heats.
The first heat saw Blue Guns N Roses, led by Perry Thomas, fend off competition from Juicy Wiggle and Beg For Mercy to secure the top spot.
The second round saw Best in Flight, steered by David Arrowsmith, manoeuvring its way past a challenging crowd led by Carrie on Fred and Lawless to establish supremacy.
The Grade A fixtures were dominated by Dernol Yankee, guided by Lynne Boxhall, while Ontop Shouda Cuda and Lakeside Pan claimed second and third respectively.
The Baby Novice races saw Fold Take Flight and Lockitdownlou attain glory, completely dominating their respective races. It was a nice moment for Fold Take Flight as the 11-year-old finally claimed a win.
The excitement amplified in the Nursery races as Dernol Lucky Strike defeated rivals Tommy Rocket and Greathouse Arrow to claim victory.
The Dash race saw a nail-biting finish as Stateside Icon narrowly edged out GG Rogue and Sally M to take the top honours.
The Consolation race was a witness to the brilliant form struck by Ithon Queen, owned by Sam Reynolds from Orleton, outpacing Victoria Penlan and Ellavafella to claim victory.
The final race of the day in the Grade B category proved to be a treat for the spectators as Blue Guns N Roses, despite a challenging beginning, tastefully turned around her fortunes to master victory over rivals Beg For Mercy and Best in Flight.
Racing enthusiasts can look forward to the next round of the Wales and Borders Harness Racing event scheduled at the Cilmeri course in Newbridge on Wye on Saturday, August 10 starting at 1.30pm.
