Cardigan Running Club's members took on the Preseli Beast Festival of Running in Maenclochog.
In the annual trail event that transforms the quiet village, club members braved the heat, marking the run's ten-year anniversary.
The event, hosted by Caz 'the Hat' Phillips, featured the 'Wall of Death.' This nerve-wracking ascent led runners up to Foel Cwmcerwyn, the Preselis' highest point.
Among almost 400 runners, a moment's silence was observed in memory of absent friends of the run.
Cardigan's Ollie George achieved second place in the Beast 'Bach', while St Dogmaels' David Warren, finished a commendable fourth overall.
On the ladies' side, Jane Williams claimed the honour of being the club's first female to cross the finish line.
Alistair Bowen stood as the lone Cardigan member gallant enough to brave the full Beast run's 22 miles.
David Warren also made a significant mark outside of Maenclochog.
On May 5, he represented Wales in the Great Birmingham Run's international Masters 10km race.
Despite an initial hitch, he finished seventh, setting a personal best and showcasing that his running ability improves with age.
