CARDIGAN Running Club turned out in force at the Teifi 10 on Easter Sunday and in Saturday's Bwlchygroes 10k Multi-Terrain Run.

The 10-mile race, organised by Sarn Helen Running Club in Lampeter, took runners through the streets of Lampeter before heading out on a quiet, scenic country road up the Teifi valley to Llanfair Clydogau, before crossing the river and returning to Lampeter.

Michael Kallenberg, of Swansea Harriers, was the first man to finish – in 52m 48.9s, while Naomi Sutton, of Run4All Neath finished as the first woman in 1h 3m 11.8s.

Cardigan Running Club’s Seth Davies finished 1h 4m 51.2s – the 32nd man across the line – with Howard Thomas (1h 8m 38.6s) and Stephen Williams (1h 8m 58.9s) also represented the club within the top 50 male finishers.

Angela Evans finished in 1h 21m 26.9s in 21st for Cardigan Running Club, while Laura Winter (1h 32m 45.7s) crossed the line in 39th and Lindsey Blackford (1h 35m 52.9s) and Rhian Blackford (1h 35m 58.7s) also finished in the top 50 women.

Finishers were given a refillable glass milk bottle and a creme egg, and the runners were greeted by sunny weather and friendly farmers along the flat course following the River Teifi.

On Saturday, March 30, runners from Cardigan Running Club took on the Bwlchygroes 10k Multi-Terrain Run 2024, in memory of Brian Williams.

David Warren was second overall in a time of 44m 1s and Alistair Bowen was fourth after finishing in 48m 48s. Ailinor Evans finished as the third woman to cross the line in 1h 26s.
