A LOCAL boxer comfortably won his latest fight in the ring.

Jason Williams is a member of MB Boxing/Fitness Llandysul and is also captain of St Dogmaels FC.

In a recent fight against a contender for the Novice Welsh Championship, Jason scored a ‘brutal stoppage’ in the first round.

Coach Morgan Baxter wrote: “Jay started the round fast sticking to the game plan perfectly by showing his opponent his power and then backing off to use his boxing skills.

“Jason held the centre and made use of his feints beautifully making the boy react, Jason pressured his opponent into a corner and landed a devastating one-two which stunned his opponent massively, resulting in the first standing eight.

“Upon continuing, Jason applies the pressure immediately which achieved him the second standing eight. Jason looked over to his corner as his coach Morgan Baxter instructed him that one more standing eight and he’s won the bout.

“Jason rushed across the ring and applied massive amounts of pressure showering the opponent with devastating punches and got the victory comfortably.”
