ALTHOUGH showing plenty of creativity from the start of the campaign St Dogmaels have been found wanting in the final third of the pitch but there has been a growing conviction within the camp that once this was overcome a big result would follow
And that is what happened in a Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies round one tie at the School Field when holders Saints were 12-2 winners over Bargod Rangers.
The goal-scoring was led by Trevor Woodgate with four strikes as he turned in a five-star performance and led the Rangers defence a merry dance. Slawomir Slovak Waleczek hit a hat-trick, Iowan Owen bagged a brace and the other marksmen were Lee Evans (pen), Sam Hall and Anthony Murtagh.
Saints could face a far stiffer task this Saturday when they make the short journey across the Teifi to take on team of the moment Maesglas in a division one encounter.
