The big match in Ceredigion this week was the local derby between Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi and Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn, both teams coming in to the fixture off the back of defeats the previous week. With windy conditions in Llandysul it was predicted that running rugby would be limited, however Dyffryn Teifi gave a master class in getting the ball wide and scored some very impressive tries, despite a very strong start from Emlyn where they went close to scoring early on before being penalized. Following that surge the home side took control of the game and scored their opener following some big ball carrying from hooker Aled Jones. The game then opened up which suited Dyffryn Teifi who scored some good tries despite some desperate defence from the Emlyn backs. Things went from bad for worse for Emlyn just before half time with Captain and Vice-Captain Rhys Laugharne and Josh Farmer were forced off with injuries while Dyffryn Teifi went five tries to nil up going into the break. The second half saw much of the same with Dyffryn Teifi dominating with some good individual performances, Hooker Aled Jones Captain Chris Price and centre Matthew Rollins in particular were very good for the home side who eventually ran out 52-0 winners.
