IT IS proposed to form a junior amateur boxing club in the village of Cilgerran and there is considerable interest among youngsters in the area.

One of those behind moves to set up a club is former Welsh International welterweight Paul Williams who said “I have been surprised at the amount of interest in the village and hopefully this venture will come to fruition.”

The village hall has already been made available for a proposed club and a public meeting to form a committee and make arrangements is being held in the hall on Wednesday, September 11 at 7pm. A warm welcome is extended to all.
