BRITAIN’S biggest rally and hailed as the most important off road event in the UK – the Festival of the International Six Day Enduro, saw four riders from the Dyfed Dirt Bike Club bringing home the medals with Iwan Rees in first position in his class, Mathew Foden and Cefin Evans, second in their classes and Nathan Best fourth in his class – what a worthwhile trip to Carlisle for all involved!
Travelling with their families, the competitors from Ceredigion made the journey to Carlisle in August and competed in the Historic ISDT Centenary Rally and Ride Carlisle 2013 and this year the event celebrated 100 years of the rally.
Leanne Pittam, one of the supporters said: "The four Welsh boys did the club proud. Not only did they all manage to complete the three day rally covering approximately 2,220 miles between them, but they all managed to come away with very respectable placing in their classes. The overall positions were decided not only by completing the three days, but they also had to complete a special test where the fastest bike won."
She added: "The men had long riding days on fast forestry tracks with stunning views including Hadrian's wall. It was most definitley a worth while historic trip for the club."
