WELSH league rugby returns this weekend with local clubs Crymych, Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan on their travels.
Promoted Crymych open their campaign in Division One West with a tough looking game against Carmarthen Athletic at Athletic Park in Johnstown.
The following Saturday Division One rugby comes to Parc Lloyd Thomas for the first time when Kenfig Hill provide the opposition and seven days later the Preselimen visit Glynneath before ending the month at home against Ammanford.
Another promoted club Newcastle Emlyn will ply their trade in Division Two West where they competed a few seasons ago before being relegated.
The Red and Whites open against Seven Sisters at Maes Dafydd, host Maesteg Quins at Ddol Wyber the following weekend, are at Treharris on September 21 and at home against Dunvant on the last Saturday of the month.
After a brush with relegation in Division Three West last season Cardigan will be hoping for improvement this time around.
The Cardis, led by all-action No. 8 Llyr Griffiths, take on Pontarddulais at Coedbach Park on Saturday, welcome Llandeilo to King George V Playing Field seven days later, visit Pontyberem the following Saturday and are at home against Llanybydder on September 28.
