Are you ready to get involved in one of the most talked about projects of 2010?
The Aberteifi Cardigan will be launched this Saturday (March 27) at the Guildhall Gallery, Cardigan.
The gallery will be open from 10am to 5pm for eager knitters to sign up to help create this enormous five metre wide knitted artistic masterpiece.
The Heritage Lottery-funded cardigan will incorporate the riverscape, landscape and cultural and social heritage of Cardigan.
Community artist Lisa Hellier will be at the Guildhall all day to explain what’s involved and will be handing out free wool and instructions.
The cardigan project will be officially launched at noon with special gifts for Cardigan’s first 2010 babies.
There will also be members of the Guild of Spinners and Weavers who will be carding and spinning and handing over the finished wool to work with.
