Cardigan Ladies Circle have come up with an innovative idea to celebrate the town’s special year - a plan to have 2010 people linking hands around Cardigan.
“We really want everyone to get involved,” said Circle president Eira Jukes.
The event will take place on March 1 - St David’s Day - and everyone who takes part will be encouraged to dress in Welsh costume.
Participants will pay one pound each to take part with proceeds being divided between various charities plus the Cardigan 2010 committee, Cardigan Castle and the Urdd Eisteddfod.
A registration desk will be held at the Guildhall on Saturday, February 27 and also on the Monday, March 1, morning.
The event will take place at 2pm - and will hopefully be televised.
Anyone who would like to help out or sponsor the event can contact Eira on 07813 895 082.
