More than 500 items from the past were brought to the Guildhall at the weekend as part of Cardigan 2010’s scanning day.
Memories ranging from the loss of a loved one in World War II to street parties and local successes were all brought out of cupboards and attics to become part of a massive local history archive.
A team of 2010 volunteers – including youngsters from local schools – helped scan in the pictures.
Curator of Ceredigion Museum, Michael Freeman, who helped organise the day, said the response had been wonderful.
"There are some very interesting and fascinating pictures," he said.
The images will now be catalogued and displayed to the public during 2010. There are also plans for another scanning day in the autumn.
Scanning at the Guildhall are Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi pupils Tudor Harries and Jamie Pugh.
