People in Cardigan are being asked to come up with ideas for a painting to commemorate the town’s 900th anniversary in 2010.
Renowned local artists Aneurin Jones and his son Meirion have been asked by Cardigan 2010 committee to produce a one-off painting that will be displayed at the newly renovated Guildhall.
Prints will be made to help raise funds.
"We have to think what captures the ethos of Cardigan," said 2010 committee chairman Llwyd Edwards.
"Is it the architecture, the history, the river, the people – what defines the town?"
He added that the committee would like ideas from residents of all ages.
Committee members will be pooling their ideas at their next meeting on March 26 – but they also want local people to get involved.
o What are your ideas for the painting? Send them to 2010 painting, Tivy-Side, 39 St Mary Street, Cardigan or email 2010@gwent-wales.co.uk by March 25.
