A Cardigan film society has revealed its December screening.
Theatr Mwldan Film Society will show Green Border, a 2023 film by Agnieszka Holland, on December 8.
The screening is part of the society’s efforts to bring thought-provoking films to west Wales since its inception more than 25 years ago.
Green Border highlights the migrant crisis, drawing from real-life experiences of refugees seeking asylum in the EU via the Polish-Belarusian border.
The society announced that proceeds from non-member ticket sales will be donated to Amnesty International, which will also have a presence in the foyer at Mwldan.
The film, which has a 15 rating, will be screened at 6.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £8.40, with concessions available.
The society screens films from September to May, presenting a range of genres including world cinema, British independent films, documentaries, and animations.
For the 2024-2025 season, the society plans to screen films twice a month, except in December.
The society offers different membership options, including an annual full membership, TicketSaver membership, and a young person’s annual full membership.
The society also stated that individual screenings are open to the general public, with no membership required.
Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be booked online or via the box office.
