A Ceredigion training centre has raised £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training (HCT) hosted a belated Macmillan Coffee Morning on October 14 and 15.
The hospitality and tourism group of the Alternative Curriculum helped raise the money by working towards the completion of two units of work.
The learners cooked and sold cakes, homemade pizzas, and sausage rolls.
They also created posters, decorated the classroom, held raffles, and organised a game to guess the number of sweets in a jar.
Norma, their training consultant, said: "I'm very proud of the learners for coming into the centre early to help get the venue ready for the event.
"They all communicated well with each other and worked well as a team.
"They were polite and friendly with all the fans and staff.
"The event was a great success and we couldn't be more proud of them."
The apprentices also offered a hairdressing, coffee, and cake session for £5, which was popular with the community.
One of the learners said: "I feel a great sense of achievement."
Councillor Wyn Thomas, Ceredigion cabinet member for schools, lifelong learning and skills, said: "The staff and learners of Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training have done an exceptional job during the Macmillan Coffee Morning.
"Their hard work and dedication resulted in a successful event that raised a significant amount for a vital cause.
"The creativity and teamwork shown by all involved was truly impressive.
"Well done to everyone for making this event such a success."
