Ceredigion County Council have proposed changes to it’s Off-Street Parking Places Order for 2025.
The council is aiming to simplify charging agreements, ensuring parking places are appropriate for a type of vehicle, increase capacity, incentivise the purchase of parking permits, extend existing exemptions for Blue Badge Holders and reflect technological changes.
Residents are encouraged to read the draft order and supplementary information on the council website and complete the online form if they have any objections.
Councillor Keith Henson, Ceredigion’s Cabinet member responsible for Highways and Environmental said:
“The proposals are put forward with the aim of improving the overall offering to customers, supporting wider proposed changes to parking related policy and assist the Council in achieving a balanced budget.
“I’d encourage residents to take the time to read the proposals and if they have any objections, to respond using the methods listed on the website.”
For responses that exceed the maximum text character, these can be sent to clic@ceredigion.gov.uk using the ‘Subject: Public Consultation - Proposed Ceredigion County Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2025).’
Reasons for objections can also be sent to Legal Services, c/o Post Room, Ceredigion County Council, Canolfan Rheidol, Rhodfa Padarn, Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23 3UE and must be received by no later than December 4, 2024.
