A Ceredigion seaside town is seeking nominations for a family in need to receive a free festive holiday.
The business community of Aberaeron is hoping to offer a 'magical Christmas' to a family of four who have faced hardship this year.
The initiative is led by Jen Bailey-Hobbs, owner of Seedling Retreats and Holidays on the harbourside in the town centre.
Ms Bailey-Hobbs said: "We are looking for people to nominate a family in West Wales who has suffered a challenging 2024 - those who have been affected by loss, financial hardship or sickness.
"We have all come together and can offer a turnkey Christmas for a family of up to four in need.
"This means they won’t need to do anything.
"They will arrive in Aberaeron and not have to worry about anything, just focus on making memories."
The family will be provided with a fully decorated cottage, complete with a log burner, luxury linens, fluffy towels and toiletries.
They will be hosted from Christmas Eve lunch until Boxing Day brunch.
The Christmas Eve dinner will be provided by a local restaurant, and a luxury food hamper will be gifted by the local deli.
The family will not have to worry about Christmas Day lunch either, as it will be cooked and delivered by another local restaurant, with an additional food hamper for the evening.
Boxing Day breakfast brunch will be at a local eatery, and the winning family will arrive to a tree surrounded by age-appropriate presents donated by independent shops.
Ms Bailey-Hobbs said: "We, as a community, want to give back this year as many have suffered hardships, and the number of businesses who have wanted to be involved is so heart-warming."
Nominations for the deserving family are open to those residing in Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire.
Nominations can be sent via email to info@seedlingsretreatsandholidays.com or through the social media pages of Seedlings Retreats and Holidays.
The closing date for nominations is December 1 at midnight, after which a panel of judges, made up of businesses in Aberaeron, will choose the family and announce the winner on December 5.
The reason for nomination and a contact person should be clearly stated in each nomination.
