Cadets, veterans, dignitaries and Cardigan townspeople all turned up to pay their respects at the town’s war memorial today.

Town Mayor and Mayoress - Cllr Olwen Davies and Ms Ffion Davies were present, also the Chairman of Ceredigion County Council, Mr Keith Evans.

(Image: Julie John) The service was conducted by Reverend Wyn Maskell. Parti Ysgol Uwchardd Aberteifi sang as the wreaths were laid. Flt Lt Chris Ford RAFAC was the parade commander.

(Image: Julie John) In New Quay a beautiful poppy display was created next to the town’s memorial hall.

(Image: Western Telegraph) The lifeboat and the coastguards attended the town’s Remembrance Day service. The coastguards are reported to have come straight from rescuing a spaniel that had got into difficulty in the sea.
