Cadets, veterans, dignitaries and Cardigan townspeople all turned up to pay their respects at the town’s war memorial today.
Town Mayor and Mayoress - Cllr Olwen Davies and Ms Ffion Davies were present, also the Chairman of Ceredigion County Council, Mr Keith Evans.
The service was conducted by Reverend Wyn Maskell. Parti Ysgol Uwchardd Aberteifi sang as the wreaths were laid. Flt Lt Chris Ford RAFAC was the parade commander.
In New Quay a beautiful poppy display was created next to the town’s memorial hall.
The lifeboat and the coastguards attended the town’s Remembrance Day service. The coastguards are reported to have come straight from rescuing a spaniel that had got into difficulty in the sea.
