A CONTROLLING boyfriend has admitted isolating his partner, threatening her and strangling her.
Gunter Reepschlager, 27, of Rhydlewis, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with four offences against his partner.
Reepschlager was accused of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour against his partner between June 2020 and October this year.
It was alleged that the defendant isolated his partner from her family and friends and prevented her from going places without him.
He was accused of repeatedly checking her phone, screenshotting pictures and messages and sending them to himself, as well as preventing her from having a Snapchat account.
Reepschlager was also accused of strangling her on two occasions, throwing a children’s toy at her, and threatening to kill her if she ever cheated on him.
The defendant was also alleged to have snatched her iPhone from her and tried, unsuccessfully, to snap it on one occasion, and filmed himself smashing her iPhone 12 with an adjustable wrench on another occasion.
He was further accused of repeatedly messaging her when she was at work and becoming aggressive if she didn’t respond right away.

Reepschlager faced separate charges of strangling a woman on September 13, and again on another date between September 1 and October 1.
He was also charged with criminal damage relating to his partner’s iPhone 12.
Reepschlager admitted controlling or coercive behaviour, but denied the three other charges.
Prosecutor Georgia Donohue said these pleas were acceptable for the Crown Prosecution Service as the actions detailed in the other offences were included as part of the coercive control charge.
Hannah George, appearing for Reepschlager, said the defendant had no previous convictions.
Judge Paul Thomas KC ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared. He adjourned sentencing until November 29, and remanded Reepschlager back in to custody.
