The second Fflach Cymunedol gig will take place next week.

Jonny Thomas and new duo Chwaer are set to perform at Y Seler in Cardigan on Wednesday, October 30.

Mr Thomas is a regular on the Cardigan pub scene, but this gig will see him perform with a full band, giving fans the chance to hear his original songs as well as some covers.

Chwaer is a new duo from Cardigan who combine vocals with skilled instrumentation.

Nico Dafydd, speaking on behalf of Fflach Cymunedol, said: "It is so important to give young bands and bands with new music a chance to play live.

"We've got several exciting and promising local artists who need that opportunity, and that The Cellar in Cardigan is an ideal venue for gigs so we're proud to be able to give the bands a chance and use a venue that is so supportive of local talent."

The first gig was held earlier this month and featured rockers Mattoidz and Lafant.

The series of gigs will be a monthly event, giving bands a platform.

The event next Wednesday will take place before the Other Voices Festival starts, and will be an opportunity to see some of the town's talents.

Doors will open at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £5.
