Childminders from Ceredigion have been recognised for their dedication and achievements at a national celebration event.
The Pacey Cymru event, which took place in Llandudno on October 5, highlighted the commitment of childcare professionals across Wales.
Attendees at the event were informed about the latest updates from Pacey Cymru and listened to keynote speeches on topics such as neuro-diversity and strategies for enhancing children's language development.
Several Ceredigion childminders were nominated for awards, including Sara Ahmed-Pattisahusiwa, Claire Lowe, Carys Flynn, Eleri Williams, and Terri Steele.
Ceredigion's strategic childcare manager, Carys Davies, said: "Many congratulations to Ceredigion childminder Terri Steele for not only achieving Camau Welsh language mynediad level 1 this year, but also for being joint winner of the Wellbeing Champion award.
"This award is particularly poignant, as it is nominated by parents and carers, who talked about the huge difference that Terri has made to their children’s lives including teaching sign language to children and opportunities for outdoor learning supporting well-being.
"She was recognised for her continuous support, security and compassion."
Ms Davies further acknowledged the importance of childminders in Ceredigion, saying: "It is great to see some of the Ceredigion childminders being recognised for a national award.
"Childminders are a key part of the childcare infrastructure in Ceredigion, and we wish to thank each one for their continued service to the families of Ceredigion."
Councillor Wyn Thomas, Ceredigion County Council’s cabinet member responsible for schools, lifelong learning, and skills, added: "Congratulations to some of the Ceredigion childminders for being nominated for an award.
"Childminders provide a key service for families across the county ensuring that children receive high-quality care in a home-from-home environment."
