A Teifi Brownie raised money for her Brownies group by climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

Eight-year-old Alana and her five-year-old brother Kai climbed Wales' highest mountain to raise funds for the 1st Cantref Emlyn Brownies.

The siblings raised £365 for the group by completing the 13km Ranger Path, which has an elevation gain of 936 metres.

By the end of the day, they had walked a total of 18.5km.

Alana and Kai chose to fundraise for the 1st Cantref Emlyn Brownies because of their connection to the group.

Alana's mother, a former Brownie herself, said: "Brownies provides girls with the opportunity to discover new passions, engage in a variety of activities, and develop lifelong friendships.

"Our local group, led entirely by volunteers, ensures that every girl can participate regardless of financial background.

"Alana was determined to give back to this community that means so much to her.

"The support from family, friends, and the community has been overwhelming, and we are so grateful to everyone who donated."

The money raised will go towards funding activities, trips, and resources for the Brownie group.

The 1st Cantref Emlyn Brownies offers a safe and supportive environment for girls to explore the world around them, develop new skills, and grow in confidence, all while having fun.
