Ceredigion residents can have their say on housing in the county.
The council is asking for input on its draft Common Allocation Policy, which outlines plans for social housing allocation.
The policy acknowledges the significant role of housing and its impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
It also identifies key challenges within the existing policy, which necessitate changes in allocation.
These include national challenges such as the cost of living crisis and legislative changes, which affect housing issues in the county.
Councillor Matthew Vaux, Ceredigion’s cabinet member responsible for housing, said: "Housing is something that impacts everybody; everyone needs somewhere to live and everyone has an opinion of what that should look like and how they can access it within their specific location.
"This policy details how we intend to enable access to social housing and the challenges affecting our communities.
"It sets out the council’s priorities for meeting housing need and working with tenants and residents to build sustainable and cohesive communities."
He added that the council believes it is important to have the views of as many people as possible.
The consultation will run for six weeks until November 15, 2024.
Residents can share their views online on the Ceredigion County Council website.
Paper copies are available at council-owned libraries and leisure centres across the county.
For questions about the consultation, or to request a copy of the draft Common Allocations Policy and consultation survey in a different accessible format, residents can email localhousingstrategy@ceredigion.gov.uk.
