It has been a busy summer both on and off the water for a local lifeboat station.
The volunteer crew at Cardigan RNLI Lifeboat Station responded to several call-outs this summer - twice while actively involved in community events.
Crew members were just setting out in Cardigan carnival parade when the pagers sounded to a yacht in trouble at the mouth of the River Teifi.
On the second occasion the crew had barely finished cleaning down the lifeboat after a visit to Teifi Boat Club open day when they were again called out to kayakers in trouble at Ceibwr Bay.
On both occasions, no-one was hurt.
A sea shanty evening at the station attracted nearly 500 people despite the awful weather and raised around £2,000 for RNLI funds.
An open day pulled in more than 300 people while there has been a steady stream of visitors - individuals, families, schools and organisations - to the Poppit Sands station.
A recruitment evening also proved very successful with six new volunteers added to the crew list.
On a sadder note, the station mourned the loss of much-loved crew member Amanda Barber, whose husband Tony and children Leo and Madeleine are also part of the close-knit crew.
Lifeboat Operations Manager, Pete Austin, said: “There has been a great deal going on at the station and it has been a pleasure to be involved in local events, where the support of the local community is very much appreciated.”
