A summer festival will be held near Llandysul next week.
The Black Horse Pub in Pentrcwrt is gearing up to host the Aberhoffnant Summer Festival on August 31, 2024.
This annual event, set in Bangor Teifi is expected to attract large crowds for a lively evening of music, entertainment, and food.
The festivities, running from 4pm to 11pm, promise a community-focused atmosphere with a full programme of entertainment.
Highlights include a hog roast, live music performances, and a variety of fundraising efforts.
The funds raised will go directly to the Velindre Cancer Charity.
The festival is being organised by The Black Horse Pub's landlady, Helen Goddard, Shaun Richards, a cancer survivor, and Morys Gryffydd.
This enthusiastic and dedicated trio has worked tirelessly to organise an event that brings the community together for a night of fun, whilst supporting a cause that is deeply personal to them.
This year, the festival takes on particular significance as one of the key organisers, Shaun Richards, is a recent cancer survivor.
His experience has led to the Velindre Cancer Charity being chosen as this year's beneficiary.
In reality, fundraising efforts have already been underway for some time, with the pub hosting a variety of successful events, including a monthly pub quiz and a novel evening of "Play Your Cards Right."
The Aberhoffnant Summer Festival will provide a platform for local talent, with a line-up of bands set to perform.
The event is being hosted by previous X-Factor contestant, Doctor Woof, and attendees can look forward to performances by North and South and Take 2 Country, as well as Welsh drag queen Wilma Ballsdrop.
With limited tickets available, those planning to attend are urged to purchase their tickets soon to avoid disappointment.
Tickets can be bought directly from The Black Horse Pub in Pentrecwrt or online by searching Aberhoffnant 2024 on Eventbrite.
Eager anticipation surrounds this event, with everyone looking forward to an unforgettable night and, crucially, the opportunity to give much needed support to a worthy cause.
A large, converted cattle shed will provide shelter in case of wet weather.
