A Ceredigion venue will be reopening in 2025.
Tŷ Glyn, set against the scenic backdrop of Ciliau Aeron’s rolling hills, is currently having extensive renovation work done to transform it into a new destination for weddings, events, dining, and getaways.
The Thomas family, known for their successful establishments The New Celtic and Y Seler, are leading the project.
The Thomas family, a cornerstone in Aberaeron's hospitality scene, said: "Tŷ Glyn has been an integral part of our community’s history, and we are excited to reintroduce it as a centrepiece for future celebrations and gatherings."
The property, once owned by Geoffrey Faber, founder of Faber & Faber, and a retreat for poet T.S. Eliot, is being refurbished to retain some of its original charm while adding contemporary features.
The renovations promise a blend of elegance and modern design.
The refurbished venue will include a bridal suite, bedrooms, a ceremony room, a grand hall, and landscaped gardens.
The refurbishment will feature traditional stonework and walls of glass to create a sense of unity between the building's interior and the surrounding landscape.
One of the highlights will be a ceremony room with exposed wooden beams and draped greenery.
The spacious grand hall is also under development, which will cater to both intimate and large weddings.
The Thomas family said: "Our goal is to be a place for life’s special moments and everyday gatherings.
"Whether you’re celebrating a wedding or simply enjoying a meal or drink with friends, Tŷ Glyn aims to make every visit special."
The Tŷ Glyn menu, crafted by a team of award-winning chefs, promises high quality.
Beyond weddings, Tŷ Glyn will be a versatile venue, open daily for guests to enjoy its hotel, indoor and outdoor restaurants, and a bar.
Wedding coordinator Georgina said: "Meeting recently engaged couples and seeing their excitement as we discuss their big day at Tŷ Glyn has been incredibly rewarding.
"We are now thrilled to be taking bookings and to be helping couples bring their dream wedding to life."
