A Ceredigion county councillor has backed an upcoming craft festival in Cardigan.
The councillor - Clive Davies - said he believed that Craft Festival Wales will be a boost for the town.
Mr Davies, cabinet member for Ceredigion County Council, said: "I'm delighted that Craft Festival Wales is coming to Cardigan.
"I think the event is an amazing opportunity to showcase makers from across Wales and further afield in a town recognised for its creativity and can-do attitude.
"Having such a large event in Cardigan after the traditionally busy summer months will no doubt benefit the town - attracting visitors from the region and further afield who will hopefully return to see more of what Mid and West Wales has to offer."
Organiser Craft Festival is a not-for-profit enterprise led by Sarah James MBE, a Cardigan native.
Among the 80 professional makers exhibiting and selling their crafts will be Belinda Knott from Lampeter.
Ms Knott said: "Ceredigion is a very rural county with creative entrepreneurs working away in sheds, studios and on the land to bring their passions into the world.
"Many of those incredible talents will be celebrated at Craft Festival Wales.
"The calibre of talent is set to blow Cardigan’s socks off."
The festival takes place at Cardigan Castle from September 6 to 8. Tickets cost £7 if bought online in advance from the Craft Festival website. Children under 18 will enter for free if accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
