A Ceredigion community council will be holding a health awareness day in September.
Llangoedmor Community Council is organising the event at Llechryd Coracle Hall on Saturday, September 7 from 10am to 4pm.
The aim of the day is to improve health and wellbeing knowledge for the community, families, and carers of those with chronic needs.
The council hopes to help people help themselves and all are welcome if they are interested in learning more about health and wellbeing matters.
The event will feature healthcare professionals who will provide information about their services in areas such as cardiac health, cancer care, feet care/tissue viability, and stroke.
St Johns will also be present to conduct practical first aid training.
Information stands will also offer advice, health literature, and discussions about available health services for various chronic needs.
Councillor Amanda Edwards, county councillor for Llangoedmor and Beulah, said: "The Health Awareness Day promises to be a superb opportunity for community members, family and carers to have access to key health information and resources."
Councillor Clive Wychwood said: "We are committed to fostering a healthier community, and this event is a significant step towards that goal.
"With talks from specialist nurses, district nurses available all day, financial and social services advice from Ceredigion County Council, free RNID hearing checks, free first aid training from St Johns plus fantastic support from a range of local and national carer and support services it looks set to be a wonderful opportunity for all.
"Come and have a cuppa and be better informed."
The free-to-attend event will also provide refreshments.
Community members and their families are encouraged to join in and make the most of the resources and expert advice available.
