Residents in Ceredigion are being asked to share their thoughts on the county's Welsh Language Promotion Strategy for the next five years.
The draft policy outlines how Ceredigion County Council and its partners plan to boost and broaden the use of Welsh in the region.
Councillor Catrin M S Davies, Ceredigion's cabinet member for Welsh language and culture, said: "The purpose of this Strategy is to show the council’s commitment to encourage and promote the language throughout the council and outline our vision for increasing the use of the Welsh language in Ceredigion.
"The plans and projects outlined focus on areas where the council has influence such as the council’s workforce, education, Cered’s work, and so on.
"I hope that many people share their views in this vitally important consultation."
The consultation runs for five weeks, ending on August 31.
Residents can access the current strategy and the proposed one online, with their feedback submitted directly on the council's website.
People can also view hard copies of the strategy at Aberaeron, Cardigan, Lampeter, Llandysul and New Quay libraries as well as Lampeter Wellbeing Centre.
The outcome of the responses will be shared with the scrutiny committee and cabinet for final decisions.
