The sessions for Clebran at Other Voices 2024 have been revealed.
The annual festival of thought convenes musicians, artists, druids, folklorists, authors, journalists, football professionals, dancers, farmers, and others for discussions on diverse topics.
Held at Mwldan this year from October 31 to November 2, the festival opens with a meeting of druids followed by a discussion titled ‘The New Pagans’.
On November 1, CEO of the Football Association of Wales, Noel Mooney, together with Professor Laura McAllister and writer/presenter Darren Chetty, will discuss the role of football in community activism in a talk titled 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. A panel including Delyth Jewell MS, Professor Diarmait Mac Giolla Chriost, and theatre academic Marianne Kennedy will examine possible futures post-Brexit in 'Stronger Together'.
On November 2, Dr Lowri Cunnington Wynn, James Dovey, and community activist Edwina Guckian (who will also perform a dance routine) explore staying put in 'The Grass Isn't Always Greener' with Christopher Kissane. Hannah Quinn-Mulligan and author Carwyn Graves discuss farming history in 'Common Ground'. In 'Now Playing', Tumi Williams and Max Zanga discuss promoting black music in Wales and Ireland.
Clebran sees a new addition with Clebran on the Trail – intimate musician-led discussions hosted across various Cardigan venues.
Wristband holders can access all Clebran and Clebran Trail discussions.
Further details are available at the Other Voices website.
Other Voices Cardigan is produced by South Wind Blows, Mwldan, Triongl, and receives support from Welsh Government and others.
