Ceredigion County Council is using Youth Work Week to celebrate the county's successes over the last year.

This year, the week takes place from June 23 to 30 and aims to highlight the innovation, resilience, and resourcefulness of the Youth Work Sector over the past 12 months.

The event provides a chance to share success stories on social media and acknowledge the vital contributions of those working in Youth Work Services.

It also presents opportunities for young people to engage in an array of activities, workshops, and competitions.

The theme of this year's Youth Work Week is "Why Youth Work?", offering a platform to show recognition to organisations, local authorities, practitioners, youth clubs, leaders, and the young people themselves.

A Ceredigion County Council spokesperson said: "As we commence Youth Work Week 2024, we take pride in celebrating the remarkable achievements of the past year.

"The Youth Work Sector, particularly our dedicated team within the council, has consistently demonstrated unwavering innovation, resilience, and resourcefulness.

"Even amidst challenging circumstances, they have tirelessly supported young people and communities.

"Through social media, we’ll spotlight their success stories and recognise their invaluable contributions.

"Let’s honour the commitment of our Youth Work team, who work tirelessly to empower and uplift our youth."

During each day of Youth Work Week, different achievements will be spotlighted.
