THESE defendants will face trials after pleading not guilty in the magistrates’ court recently.

The defendants were charged with offences including drink-driving and harassment.

The cases were heard at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court and Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court.

Here’s a round-up of the cases.

NATHAN DUROSE, 24, of Ridgeway in Cardigan, has pleaded not guilty to harassing a woman.

Durose was accused of pursuing a course of conduct between May 11 and September 13 last year which amounted to harassing a woman in Cardigan.

He pleaded not guilty, and will face a trial at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on September 5.

Durose was granted bail until that date.

JOSHUA LEWES, 25, of Talsarn, was accused of being more than two-and-a-half times the drink-drive limit on the A485.

Lewes was alleged to have been driving a Volkswagen Passat between Tregaron and Lampeter on October 15. The prosecution accused Lewes of having recorded having 210 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The legal limit is 80.

He pleaded not guilty, and at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on May 23 a trial date was set for July 25. Lewes was granted bail until that date.

TOBY HOLLAND, 52, of Blaenporth, was also accused of drink-driving.

Holland was alleged to have been driving a Toyota Hilux on the A487 near Blaenannerch on May 4. He was accused of, when tested, having 57 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

Holland pleaded not guilty on May 22, and at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court a trial date was set for July 4. The defendant was admitted to bail until that date.
