A MAN has denied stalking two women in the Lampeter area.
Michael Jones, 64, of Llanwnnen, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with two offences of stalking causing serious alarm or distress.
Jones was accused of stalking one woman between August 28 and October 1 in 2022, where he was alleged to have made unwanted communications with her, followed her whilst she was horse riding, and attempted to join the same hunt as her.
The defendant was charged with stalking another woman between July 25, 2022, and January 17, 2023, by turning up at her place of work, calling her work to find out her whereabouts, and following her route to work.

The prosecution said that Jones’ alleged actions caused the women serious alarm or distress and had a substantial impact on their day-to-day life.
Appearing in the dock on June 17, Jones pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Judge Catherine Richards ordered the defendant to return to court on July 1 for a hearing to confirm whether any further charges relating to the case will be brought.
Judge Richards also raised concerns over the amount of time which had passed between the alleged offences and the case coming before the court.
