A 64-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with stalking two women.
Michael Jones, of Llanwnnen, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court where he faced two charges of stalking involving serious alarm or distress.
It was alleged that Jones stalked one woman in Lampeter between July 25, 2022, and January 17 last year. He was accused of going to and phoning her place of work to find out her whereabouts and following her route to work.

Jones was also accused of stalking another woman between August 28 and October 1 in 2022. He was alleged to have followed her whilst she was horse riding, made unwanted communications with her, and attempted to join the same hunt as her.
The prosecution said that Jones’ alleged actions caused the women serious alarm or distress and had a substantial impact on their day-to-day life.
No pleas were entered at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, and the case was sent to Swansea Crown Court.
Jones will next appear in the dock on June 17 to enter his pleas. He was granted bail in the meantime.
