Award-winning Ceredigion poets, Kathy Miles and Samantha Wynne Rhydderch are the special guests of the next Cellar Bards event in Cardigan.
The double-bill event is set to take place on Friday, May 10, at The Cellar on Quay Street from 7.30pm.
Spectators can attend for just £3, and have a chance to perform, as open mic spots are available for anyone who signs up by 8pm.
Ms Miles, a resident of Aberaeron, has had her work featured in a wealth of magazines and anthologies and is celebrating the recent publishing of her fifth full poetry collection, 'Vanishing Point' by Palewell Press.
Besides being a prolific writer, she is a workshop facilitator, book reviewer, and a regular tutor at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.
Ms Rhydderch, on the other hand has published three poetry collections, earned prestigious nominations such as the Wales Book of the Year and Michael Marks Award, and has performed her work at renowned events including the Hay Festival and the Salon du Livre in Paris.
She also has a BA in Classics from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Wales.
Ms Rhydderch has just finished writing the words for her fourth collection.
Cellar Bards remains the only regular spoken word event in Cardigan, holding sessions every second Friday of the month.
With a promising programme featuring poets like Menna Elfyn and Tony Curtis slated for the rest of the year, the event is sure to offer an exciting platform for creative expression.
