A NEW way of enhancing choice and control around the care people receive in their own homes is now available in Ceredigion.
Catalysts for Care has been running with great success in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire and has now launched in Ceredigion.
The project, run by empowering communities charity PLANED, is working in partnership with Ceredigion County Council and Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations.
The project supports carers to set up their own micro enterprises to deliver care and support to people who wish to remain in their own homes.
An online directory advertises micro carers at work in the county while an online enquiry tool enables families to check what care is available in their community.
You can see the directory at planed.org.uk/projects/catalysts-for-care or email project co-ordinator Sue Lewis at sue.lewis@planed.org.uk or phone 07442681883.
Anyone interested in becoming a micro carer and joining the directory can also contact Sue.
