Teenagers in Ceredigion will be able to take advantage of free learning sessions.
This is thanks to Coleg Ceredigion, which offers funded Discovery Clubs at its Cardigan campus.
These clubs target teenagers aged 14 to 18 and offer a variety of computer-oriented subjects, which range from 2D animation and claymation crafting sessions to robotics and esports.
Young attendees will acquire practical programming skills through fun activities, with innovative tools like Sphero technology and block coding deployed to guide the process.
Additionally, the college invites budding gamers to join their esports team, encouraging strategic and teamwork skills in a virtual environment with advanced gaming PCs.
These Free Discovery Clubs exist due to finance procured from Reaching Wider North and Mid Wales Programme.
The first Discovery Club session, focusing on computing, commences May 29 and continues May 30, then resumes from July 22 until July 24, operating from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Furthermore, a Hair and Beauty Discovery Club is projected to join the college schedule in July.
Although the clubs are free, booking is mandatory and can be done by contacting Coleg Ceredigion via phone on 01239 612032 or emailing admissions@ceredigion.ac.uk.
