TWO people have been charged with selling counterfeit Chanel and Dior fragrances and North Face and Stone Island clothing.
Sharon Hopkins and Peter Hinchen, both of Bro Hawen in Rhydlewis, appeared at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court accused of two offences against the Trade Marks Act 1994.
It was alleged that the pair, between October 20, 2021, and November 23, 2021, offered trainers, clothing and fragrances which could likely be mistaken for trademarked items.
The prosecution said these included counterfeits of items from Nike, The North Face, Adidas, Emporio Armani, Fendi, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, and Stone Island.

The case was adjourned, and 38-year-old Hopkins and Hinchen, 54, will return to Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on April 30.
