Theatr Mwldan Film Society will be showing a Finnish film in April.
The film, Fallen Leaves, will be screened at Mwldan, Aberteifi, on Sunday, April 14 at 6.30pm, rated 12A.
The showing offers an enticing prospect for film lovers everywhere as they get the chance to witness the minimalist masterpiece from Finnish director, Aki Kaurismäki.
Fallen Leaves is set in modern-day Helsinki and depicts a chance meeting of two lonely souls searching for love in a karaoke bar.
The film takes the viewers on a journey as the characters attempt to overcome obstacles like lost phone numbers, mistaken addresses, alcoholism, and a charming stray dog on their pursuit of happiness.
Critics have praised the Finnish filmmaker's sweet-natured romance narration, noting that it "fills you with a feel-good glow and laughs in the face of Putin’s threat to the country", according to The Guardian.
