A DOG owner has been warned that her pets could be destroyed unless she keeps them under control.
A complaint had been made that Sadie McCarthy, 53, of Rhydlewis, was the owner of two dogs – Raisin and Pixie – which were dangerous and not being kept under proper control in the village on June 18.
An application was made to Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court that McCarthy must keep the dogs under control at all times, or they could be destroyed.

The defendant was ordered to fit her dogs with muzzles when out in public or in vehicles, when out at home when there are visitors, or when at another person’s home.
The dogs must be securely held on leads attached to their collars when out in public, and they must be securely contained within the confines of the garden at home by making sure there is fencing of sufficient height the dogs cannot escape.
The order was made at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on January 31. If the defendant does not comply with the order, the dogs could be destroyed.
McCarthy must also pay £226 in costs to Dyfed Powys Police.
