Gale was caught on the cyclist’s mounted video camera overtaking at an unsafe distance and speed while travelling around a slight left-hand bend.
The court heard that Gale’s driving fell well below that of a reasonable and competent driver.
He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on March 13.
Gale was fined £40, and was ordered to pay £110 in costs and a £16 surcharge. He also had three points added to his licence.
