YOUNG farmers have raised much needed funds for a Ceredigion lifeboat station.
Mydroilyn Young Farmers Club used their annual carol singing event to raise money for New Quay Lifeboat Station where they raised £600.
Huw Williams, volunteer coxswain at New Quay RNLI, said: “We would like to give a big thank you to Mydroilyn Young Farmers Club for raising money for New Quay RNLI. The donation means we can continue to save lives at sea.
“It was also a pleasure to show them around the station and lifeboats and talk to them about the RNLI’s work. I think they enjoyed looking at our tractors, a bit different to the ones they are used to.”
The farmers recently visited the station to present the cheque and were given a tour of the facilities to find out more about the work done by the crews.
