AN UNLICENSED dog breeder will be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court once it is established how much he profited from his illegal business.
Marc Jones, 39, of Golwg yr Ogof in Pencader, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 11 where he admitted three offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Jones was charged with unlicensed dog breeding between October 2020 and May 2023, unlicensed dog breeding and advertising those puppies for sale between January 2021 and May 2023, and of selling dogs as pets in the course of a business between October 2021 and May 2023.
He pleaded guilty to each of the three charges.

Jones was due to be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on February 1, however this was adjourned to allow for Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings to take place.
Prosecutor Lee Reynolds asked for the adjournment so it could be determined how much Jones had profited from the illegal puppy sales.
The judge, Recorder C. Rees KC, put the case back until June 13.
