OPERA fans will be able to see a stunning Royal Opera production from the comfort of a Cardigan theatre.
Mwldan will be hosting a screening of the Royal Opera’s production of Rusalka later this month.
Rusalka is a water spirit living with her family in the pure waters of the forest lake. She falls in love with a prince and sacrifices her voice to leave home in the hope of finding true love in a new world – which does not love her back.
Asmik Grigorian stars in the title role in the poetic, contemporary production created by Natalie Abrahami and Ann Yea, based on Dvořák’s lyric fairy tale. The production is conducted by Seymon Bychkov.
Rusalka is sung in Czech with English subtitles.
Rusalka will be shown at Mwldan on Wednesday, January 24 at 6.45pm. Tickets cost £17 for adults or £16 for concessions and are available at www.mwldan.co.uk or by calling 01239 621200 between 12pm and 8pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
