THERE will be a celebration of Polish music in Cardigan this coming weekend.
Mwldan will be celebrating modern Polish music, klezmer, contemporary jazz and chamber classical music with a performance by band Kroke.
The Polish trio – whose name is Yiddish for Kraków – will be performing a ‘best of’ to celebrate their 30-year-long career.
The trio of Academy of Music graduates formed the band in 1992 and were initially associated with Klezmer music and had strong Balkan influences. Over the years their sound has evolved to be heavily influenced by jazz, contemporary and ethnic music combined with their own stunning improvisations.
Kroke will be at Mwldan in Cardigan on Sunday, November 12 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £20 or £18 for concessions and can be bought at www.mwldan.co.uk or by calling 01239 621200 between 12pm and 8pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
