ONE person was taken to hospital following a crash which closed a section of the A484 for much of Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports of a crash just outside Cenarth at around 11.45am.
A car and a van were involved and had blocked the road near Cenarth Falls Holiday Park.
Dyfed-Powys Police closed the road for around five hours to allow officers to investigate the crash and for the road to be cleared.
One person involved was taken by ambulance to Glangwili Hospital for further treatment.
The road re-opened at around 5pm.
A police spokesperson said: "Dyfed-Powys Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A484 near Cenarth Falls Holiday Park at just after 11.45am.
"A car and van were involved in the collision, which has blocked the road."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today, Friday, October 13, to reports of a road traffic collision on the A484 near Cenarth Falls Holiday Park.
“We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene and we were supported by colleagues from the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS).
“One patient was transferred to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen for further treatment.”
