A MAN has been charged with a series of offences against a woman in Pencader.
Kieran Balmont appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on September 29 facing eight charges, all against the same complainant.
Balmont was charged with engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour between June 1 and September 27.
He also faced three offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, dated in June, on August 3, and September 27.

The defendant also faced a charge of intentional strangulation – dated between September 26 and 27 – and criminal damage relating to the complainant’s door and television from between the same dates.
Balmont was also accused of stealing the complainant’s mobile phone on September 27, and making threats to kill the complainant on September 26 and 27.
No pleas were entered.
Balmont, 20, of Maescader in Pencader, was remanded in to custody, and will appear to enter his pleas at Swansea Crown Court on October 30.
