TWO people have been in court recently for offences committed in Lampeter.
Dr Olufemi Asanbe, 45, of Penrhyncoch, Aberystwyth, admitted failing to stop at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 11.
He admitted that on December 23, he was driving a Mercedes GLA on the B4337 Creuddyn Bridge, Lampeter, when he was signalled to stop by a police officer in uniform but failed to do so.
He was ordered to pay £467 fine, £186 surcharge and £90 costs.
Rebecca Brewer, 32, of Tai Pedr, Lampeter, admitted sending a communication of threatening nature at Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on July 19.
She admitted that on June 12, 2023, she posted a comment on Facebook which conveyed a ‘grossly offensive message for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety.’
She was given a 12-month community order including 50 hours of unpaid work. She also had to pay £25 compensation, £114 surcharge and £85 costs.
