A CEREDIGION gardening club has celebrated its 40th anniversary.
The Llechryd & District Gardening Club celebrated its anniversary on Saturday, July 8 with a picnic at Rhyd-y-Groes, Brynberian.
They were hosted at the garden by club member Jenny Matthews and her husband Kevin.
50 members and guests turned up to the event, including guest of honour – 90-year-old Myrna Philpott. Myrna is a life member of the club and was on hand to cut the birthday cake before being presented with a handtie bouquet.
Llechryd & District Gardening Club will be hosting a celebration talk on Wednesday, August 9, in Boncath Hall. The talk will be taken by Fergus Garrett and will be on Great Dixter, Past, Present & Future. It is sold out with more than 100 people in attendance.
